The thing I hate about using gift cards at Lowes, and maybe Home Depot is the same, god forbid you have to return something, they treat you like a criminal. And the return gift card they issue can only be used by the person returning! In the past, I had my wife return something I purchased with gift card (with receipt), a new gift card issued, but she needs to be there to use (with drivers license). I get that it's probably cut down on fraud, still a pain to honest customers.

Completely agreed with you that it's a PITA. On top of that they also ask for your ID which makes no sense since there's a receipt for the return. And it's not a gift card but a store merchandise card and it can't be use online either

It has been unlimited here at Kroger for the last 2-3 years. Some signs at the pumps show "up to $1" but it still allows unlimited.

Of course, order rejected yet again by Blackhawk. I purchased a gift card has a guest a couple months ago from Kroger no problem, made an account last month and this is second time I can't get an order to be approved, and it's not my CCs blocking the charge, bc it goes thru instantly, and then is returned by BHN a couple minutes later. I email Blackhawk, so maybe they'll unblock me or something, as I'm not sure I've ever purchased a gift card online from them except that one a couple months ago.

I got some lowes egc and loaded to Samsung pay couple years back. I see it in Samsung pay saying gift card balance but I couldn't apply during bf checkout. I forgot if I ever used it. Any online lowes site for checking the egc balance?

Got the $100 gift card from Gift Card Mall almost immediately but the $15 Happy Holidays Choice Bonus Card has yet to be delivered. I see both in my order history so not sure what the delay is. Anyone else experience this?

Totally agree with this as someone that moved to another state with a bunch of gift cards that had my previous driver license attached. I still feel that I left some money on the table as most of the cashiers would give up trying to get the gift card to work and just say it had a $0 balance on it. Additionally, I'll also point out that the new gift card is limited to in-store only after the return so you go from a gift card that can be used online and in-store to one that is just in-store credit. It's very frustrating but evidently fraud and theft of coupons and gift cards has really driven Lowe's to penalize everyone.

Been through this many times. It's convenient ordering online, but a return makes it all not worth it!

Where are you located? Here in the Louisville area on the pumps themselves it asks you to enter the number of cents you want to save per gallon between 10-100. Do you not have that restriction or is there a way to enter more?
