The thing I hate about using gift cards at Lowes, and maybe Home Depot is the same, god forbid you have to return something, they treat you like a criminal. And the return gift card they issue can only be used by the person returning! In the past, I had my wife return something I purchased with gift card (with receipt), a new gift card issued, but she needs to be there to use (with drivers license). I get that it's probably cut down on fraud, still a pain to honest customers.

Completely agreed with you that it's a PITA. On top of that they also ask for your ID which makes no sense since there's a receipt for the return. And it's not a gift card but a store merchandise card and it can't be use online either

If you buy something @ Lowe's using a GC and return it, they give you store credit instead. NOT the same as a GC.

How do you get the 4x fuel on these.. I'm. Big fan of 4x in store and just filled up with 35 gallons yesterday and have 6000 more points sitting here but will probably use 7000 points by end of January so could do this deal.

The thing is I never see how to input your account to associate it for the 4x fuel points.

I logged into my account before the purchase. I received the gift card in 5 minutes by email. I just checked now and it shows the 1000 fuel points in my account. I did not do anything special besides making sure I was logged in.

Does anyone know if you can use a Kroger gift card as payment method on Kroger's site to purchase this Lowe's gift card? At checkout I see a section called "Promotional Codes, Credits and Gift Cards" but there's only a button/link to add a promo code.

I've returned like 15 items this way at my Lowes, and I've always just gotten a gift card with a code in return. Anyone could've used it, it wasn't tied to me.

Anymore at Kroger, if I redeem one gift card coupon, they mark all in my account as redeemed. Not sure why they are doing that other then I use a lot of fuel points. The full 35 gallons. Example, I bought some Amazon gift card and used the 4X coupon, got 1000 fuel points. When I look at my account, the Visa/Mastercard coupon is also marked redeemed but I never used it. This started a couple months ago.

I see it on the checkout page, there is a Shopper's Card section. Strangely it does not show my card # but it works.

Weird the 4x promo now was automatically clipped and literally reads it can be used again. I have used it twice in November and then in December to stagger my fuel points
