Why can't they just include digital access when you buy a physical subscription?

Coupon code is only good for 1 year in case that wasn't obvious to anyone. I tested it out just to make sure. Digital sub via Zinio app. I used a $10 credit that PayPal emailed me recently to make it $2.53 after tax.

Just renewed for my wife, but be careful with this DiscountLock thing - I didn't select when I renewed, but it did it for me. I suggest everyone who subscribed or renewed check their settings. It auto-selected for me and it auto DiscountLock all of my previous orders when I checked the settings. Don't know if this is an isolated incident, but this is suspicious and wrong if this is their way of having people auto-renew. You have been warned. Anyone in like situation please chime back to confirm if it's me or you as well.

Yes, I did see that; but I was given a choice to select it or not and I did NOT. It did it for me after the click purchase and showed on the confirmation page which is not right. Also, yes they will notify you, but on many occasions, I purchased this on an email account that doesn't get much checked on which I will eventually be billed and that's not OK.

Yeah that's strange. I forgot to mention that I agree it's a messed up thing to do.

If you keep checking Mercury Mags regularly offers free subscriptions to US Weekly.
I don't read it regularly bc like some people mentioned there isn't much substance to it, but it shows up in my mailbox every week and I definitely didn't pay for it.

To be clear, if you do NOT select it, it means you are opting INTO Discount Lock. As noted in the Wiki, if you want to prevent auto renewal, you must check the box indicating you do NOT want Discount Lock.

Hmmm...sounds like there was weirdness when you checked out.

The website indicates that you need check the box to OPT OUT of DiscountLock.

From DM website:
As an additional benefit, you will be enrolled in our DiscountLock service, which will automatically renew your subscription at the same price so you never miss an issue or worry about paying a higher price. We'll notify you before your subscription renews, and you can cancel at any time.

If you don't want to take advantage of this benefit, you must opt out by checking the box below.

If anyone is concerned tho, just log into your account at DM, and check your DiscountLock settings. If you were signed up and you don't want it, or you changed your mind, it's easily cancelled from your account page.

Excellent price. At least this magazine has real stories and I really enjoy their advertisements. It is stoopid cheap price of 24 cents per mahazine. You cant even buy gum at this price.
