FYI, although this is M.2 form factor, it uses SATA, not NVME so speeds are comparable to other SATA SSDs.

Good catch. It's easy to forget M.2 supports both PCIe and SATA .

it's in the product page:

Online Resources
Download the free WD SSD Dashboard to keep up-to-date with your drive's health, or download and install Acronis® True Image™ WD Edition to safely clone your old drive to a new WD SSD.

Agreed.

Even though the first bullet point in description says "3D NAND SATA SSD", the 560MB/s read speed should immediately tip off anyone who reads it, too. NVME Gen 3 and 4 are capable of several thousand MB/s read speeds. But maybe OP updated as I commented.

Good enough for PS 5 or it's slower than the original PS one?

NVME Gen4 drive with read speed of at least 5500MB/s is recommended for PS5.

This drive isn't even close and would only be suitable to put into an external enclosure to use for storing games—you wouldn't be able to play them from it. It's no faster than a 2.5" SATA SSD, just in a different form factor.

This seems much slower than the Samsung 980?
