I have this and it serves its purpose: it's a cute novelty that makes tasty cotton candy.
However, this thing is slow, so don't expect to quickly satisfy a growing line of impatient kids at a bday party. I learned my lesson and fill ziplock bags ahead of time.
- It works but don't counted on it works like ones in county fairs. It's very slow and takes few min to produce a small batch
- Takes few minutes to heat up, it's basically a small electric coil heating element that u can see..
- Use Floss color sugar that's for cotton candy, they are sold at Smart & Final for about $7 a carton (half gallon milk carton size)
- Yes you need take it a part and clean after each use, but it's pretty easy.
Great crowd pleaser for kids birthday parties, it will just make enough to keep kids entertained but not over dosing them in sugar.
For $20 it's worth it.

I had this thing and yes it does work, a little slow but it will make cotton candy. We got rid of it because the novelty wore off quick. Also I would keep small children away from this thing. It's very easy for them to accidentally stick their hands in and burn themselves with the molten sugar.

Thanks for this comment. It really takes one quick second of turning away and boom accidents can happen :/ Not saying they will but my 2nd is all over the place now unlike my 1st lol ... curiosity and adventure.
