This looks like a terrible contraption for a heavy bag. I would only use this for a speed bag (it looks like it's even designed for it). You only get one angle to hit the bag from in both cases but the speed bag is more designed for a single plane than the heavy bag. The heavy bag needs to swing more and it looks like it would constantly run right into the stand no matter which angle you hit it from. You would therefore only get to use a fraction of the exercises with a heavy bag. However, if you have no stand at all and your heavy bag is on the floor right now then this would be better than nothing. So is it ideal for a heavy bag? No. Is it better than nothing? Yes. Best for a speed bag? Yes.
I also noticed that there are no heavy bags in the pictures.

Nice! I was looking on FB marketplace for one locally but everyone wanted $150+ for this and a bag. I just ordered from Walmart for $160 brand new for the set!
This stand is good for beginners that do not have much techniques or strength to knock it around overly much. If you just want to increase your cardio and fitness and reduce stress by hitting a heavy bag, this will do fine.
For those that plan on getting serious with boxing technique and advance kicking than I would look somewhere else. Advance boxing and kicking would require a bolted down stand to hang a heavy bag.
Hope this helps someone thinking if this is a good buy or not for themselves. Its a good price for sure.

Great post OP! I actually bought this from walmart for 98 a few days back. Haven't even shipped (was supposed to arrive today but status says carrier has not received the item yet) and now is already cheaper. This pairs well with an everlast prime heavy bag my wife picked up at home goods for $39 😂

Thanks! I bought one of these instead. The boxing portion of my workout is done on a reflex bag now so I think this is more of what I'm looking for than the heavy bag stand which doesn't allow movement around the bag at all.
The reflex bag often provides incentive to move your head after throwing a punch.
