This will not work for unlocking. Using the pre-loaded Tracfone SIM intended for BYOD devices will not unlock a Tracfone-branded (or Simple-Mobile branded) phone. The service will work fine, but not the unlocking.

It doesn't work that way... Which network the MVNO is using have nothing to do with whether the phone is usable on another MVNO. This phone won't work with Mint Mobile until it is unlocked either after 12 months of service or using things like Rsim.

Btw, Simple mobile phones do work on Tracfone, Total Wireless, Net10, etc because they are owned by the same company.

My iphone shows 'No Restrictions'. Also tested with a different carrier SIM card and confirmed it. According to ebay seller, OTA updates dont remove the unlock. Only a phone reset will remove the unlock.

Once rsim unlocks the device, you can remove it and put your own sim card. The rsim card is only used to unlock it, doesnt stay with the device.

Just want to report back that I was successful at getting the Pixel 6 after trading this SE at BestBuy. Pixel 6 was $190+taxes after trade in.

just got my iphone and installed the tracfone sim first before powering on the unit. Works with TF network immediately.
