I've done two different toner paths. I did a toner refill kit but note if it doesn't have replacement chips it will show the level as empty. But it will still print! I did this twice before one of the the cartridges started going downhill.

basically this is an LED printer and not a laser printer, so the photos wont be as sharp.

Looks like it has been $180 in the past including just in November and a few times last year. Sometimes there are coupons to make it a bit lower. ($20 off, etc)

New is "only" $269 so $60 more which is still a decent amount. Previous posts say the refurb looks brand new with new toners... But kinda wish the price was lower back to the $180 or cheaper with coupon....

Anyone have experience with this printer and any feedback based on this price?

Now showing out of stock; whatever stock they had was bought up quickly. These refurbished Brother printers always seem to have very limited stock, and sell out quickly when posted.

Bestbuy has this for $269 and with the PayPal offer can get it down to $245, but if they both have 1 year warranty what's the benefit of going new?

It's $269 new at Staples as well, and in stock for shipping. I think of new as worth a little more, but with the quality of Brother factory refurbs I'll go that way if the price difference is more than 15% or so. Another factor: if there's a hot deal on either, it may sway my decision that way. I don't use color laser printers, but I thought the deal was good enough to post for those interested because printer prices have been ridiculously high lately.
