I bought one at Target yesterday, it's not bad. The two biggest things are stuff loads quicker and cloud game streaming. Main reason I went ahead and got it, instead of waiting for a Series X, is because I had a One X and I expect it's value to plummet after Christmas this year.
The Fortnite and Rocket League stuff are pre-loaded, so can't just sell a code. Can sign in to any account and claim them though, so if you know someone who might want them you could sell them/gift them that way.
He goes on player auctions and they sell these for like $30 on a account and more. Plus you have to trust what you're buying and from who. He is a fortnite nut and it saves me money so this is why i sent the xbox s from Costco back cause it is just the unit and controller not a bundle. If you do not need the fornite rocket them g for Costco or whoever lol.

FWIW I think you're an awesome Gr parent for actually paying attention and figuring out what your gr kid wants, instead of buying him a Nintendo and is like here I got you an Xbox lol
Quick quetion for the board, please:
I bought an S version Xbox for my 11YO about a month ago via the All Access program where you pay over two years, and where the Ultimate Game Pass is included (for 2 years).
I was not crazy about that idea although (Wirecutter thinks it's a great deal apparently) at the time no one had just the unit itself in stock. I thought with Christmas coming soon, better to secure it (then) than to wait until around now, and possibly no inventory at all (especially this year).
But it's $600 total! Again, for the S, which is $300. 2 years of the Ultimate Game Pass that it includes is definitely not worth $300.
Questions:
Anyone know if there is a way to cancel All Access program if I already bought it? (Xbox is unopened). SHOULD I? I assume the board agrees that $600 is crazy for an S.
I think MSRP for the included subscription is $140 (edited: $360), for two years, so assuming MSRP, you are paying about $60 for the no interest payment over two years.
Any thoughts or advice appreciated!!
Details on the total access:
No upfront cost. 0% APR.*
Next-gen performance in the smallest Xbox ever.
Xbox Series S console
Access to 100+ games with 24 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate

If it's 30 days or less then then the retailer you bought it from should let you return the bundle.
Returns: The Bundle may be returned for a full refund until the earlier of 30 days or the return policy set by the retailer. See retailer for return policy.

And my math was wrong: MSRP on 2 years of Game Pass Ultimate is $360, not $140 - no idea how I got that so wrong!
From what I saw looking at previous FP deals for Game Pass Ultimate, you can get it for 3 months at about $30. Assuming you can continually find that deal or better, that's $240 for 2 years.
I feel a little sick now. BAD slickdealer, BAD!!!!

You're WRONG. This is why so many people just do not read. This is the fortnite bundle that has about $50 in stuff for fortnite that you can only get with this bundle no other way. The Costco one i had and sending it back is just the system and controller ONLY
My Gr Kid wants the 1000 vbucks and the skin that comes with this bundle which if i went to buy offline it would cost me $50 to $75 more.
You can correct someone politely and without caps.

Look at the bright side! The console is a great console. I have both. You are getting it for retail both the console and Ultimate Game Pass. So you may be paying a bit more for the Ultimate Game Pass, but at least your not paying a scalpers price, plus you got free financing for the two years. Think of your 11yo smile they will have when they get it.
It was a gamble, and I bet wrong. I went 'safe' and paid more (well, full retail) bc I thought inventory would be zero if I waited, given all the supply chain issues.
They do trust me. Player auctions listed for around $50 and they sell because if a kid yells long enough the parents buy it. I do not but since i can get it for free with this bundle which he needs a new xbox anyway i am in for it.
If people do not care for it then go buy the Costco 1 i sent back in the mail but it is saving me from hearing about the skin. Oh and also 1000 Vbucks which is another $30 in game.

These skin packs for Fortnite usually sell for large amounts of cash as they are exclusive.

1000 vbucks is $7.99. Still worth the bundle though.

Stack 3 years of gold at one time, convert to game pass ultimate using dashboard $1 offer on Xbox console dashboard, it then converts all 3 years to Game Pass Ultimate straight across.
