It's home and student, nothing needed to verify, just Microsoft branding for specific set of products

Office 365, is a subscription that you have to constantly pay, but can usually be used on multiple machines (well, depending on the sub, I guess) and you'll get any new features that are added.

It's not a student edition. It's "Home & Student", which is basically aimed at regular users and not businesses.

Once you install and link it to your Microsoft account, you can swap to a new machine as long as it's only installed/used on one machine at a time (can't have it installed on both new and old pc)

You need to deregister the old machine when you get a new one. Just keep all your license keys somewhere!

It's not a student edition. It's "Home & Student", which is basically aimed at regular users and not businesses.
It has no outlook as well.

There also various free Office products like OpenOffice etc that would be fine for many.
