Reading some reviews not sure if this is worth the extra $150 over the t8+ , although the Costco return policy is tempting

I'm not entirely clear why this is getting thumbs down. This is one of the better systems out there and the ones that are possibly better (N8 Pro+ is possibly better than this in some scenarios, worse in others, the S7 with dock is probably better in some regards but without the AI stuff, and a couple of the Roombas are on par as well) are definitely more money.

If you want a good system with a pretty good AI system along with auto empty at a fair price, this is a good deal.

But, the front object avoidance is camera-based (VSLAM), so it does require light (primary navigation is LIDAR however) to work at its best.

Vacuum Wars [youtu.be] listed this as his #2 "objective" vacuum for this year (the N8 Pro+ just edged it out at 97 points vs 95 points. 3rd place is the S5 Max with 81.)

This ties the all time low for this, plus, Costco backing.

Just because you'd prefer one of the other options doesn't mean this is a bad deal.

I think I'd prefer an S7, but the lower price on this (plus availability, better avoidance, not being sold on mopping overall, and Costco) has me seriously considering it.
