Seasonic FOCUS GM-850 is $60.99 after coupon & rebate @ Newegg [newegg.com]
GM is semi-modular whereas GX is fully modular.

IMO Fully modular is the way to go. Rebate process through Newegg is a headache. Online rebate forms still need to be printed and mailed with copy of proof if purchase. All that hassle to wait 4 months for $20? Pass. This is most definitely the better deal.

Can this model handle a 3x8pin rtx 3080? I read about some seasonic models that couldn't handle their spikes.

On that note, I did pick up a corsair rmx850 a few weeks ago from best buy but I do prefer seasonic as I've been using them for years with zero issues.
