May have even been longer than that. I first saw the G1 Optimus reissue in a Toys R Us because it had been decades since I had seen it and I just stood there in the aisle holding it in my hands while the nostalgia washed over me. I think it was like $60-$70 at the time and I had a long conversation with myself about how much I wanted it but shouldn't spend that much on it. Growing up and being responsible sucks.
I love the reissues and a lot of the War for Cybertron set, but can't get myself to pull the trigger until I have a space to put more of *my* toys. Will likely have to wait for the kids to move out so I can take over their rooms… (2 year old and 5 month old…)
Any idea if the re-issues have decals applied already, or do they give you the "sticker card" like the original G1s?

I just don't understand where they keep these things prime was released like 2-3 years ago.
LOL yeah for real what the hell is this...Apparently they are holding back stock for years at Walmart.com warehouse instead of just blowing them out and moving on?
No disrespect to reissue, but pricewise is just not attractive.
Certainly more attractive than Walmart's posted price before they were put on clearance. Will likely drop after the holidays as another user pointed out.
For what it's worth, I think the original G1 prime was mostly die cast metal… so I would think the reissue is also? Not that this alone entirely justifies the cost… but maybe shines light on the price delta between Blaster and Optimus.
(I don't understand a $60 astrotrain though…)

Any idea what this is? Walmarts description is lacking/incomplete… but it's a transformer and it appears to be (slightly) on sale? … looks like there are a few of them.

There are some pretty nice Powermaster Primes released a few years ago, but I don't think they were released in the US.
