Much .cheaper even without selling the the tool. ie refurbished backpack blower w this battery and a charger. Acme Tools $149.00 & ($125 via Walmart recently)

Remember that the battery in the refurbished kit with the blower is also refurbished as well. Thus its warranty is much shorter.

and I once several yrs ago, had them send me a Brand New 5.0, for one that wasn't working properly.

Does anything about the blower deal mention guaranteed 3rd gen battery? I got the factory renewed snowblower from Acme Tools and it came with gen 2 batteries

This is a great price for those who don't want to mess with re-selling tools. This matches resale prices of the battery on FB Marketplace from what I've seen - no brainer.

For those who want to get a 5Ah battery for a real good price, setup a price alert for the LB5804 on Amazon (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/produ...=UTF8&th=1). I got it a few weeks ago for $224.

I don't think so, but I got that deal twice and both were Gen 3
