That is so insanely cheap for everything. As someone who has installed a lot of this stuff in my day. It is a lot of work to install everything. Especially if you don't do this stuff regularly. Highly recommend getting something a little better quality. Once you buy all the harnesses and adapters and spend the day taking apart your dash, door panels, and wiring everything up. It's not a simple return when you don't like the way it sounds or something stops working.

As much as I agree with you, for those spending $30 on this, they probably just need anything, and will probably splice straight to the oem harness over buying an adapter. I know this because I did this when I was broke lol. And at this price, as much as a PITA it is to take everything apart, back then, I would have done it too lol.

The radio by itself if $25 everyday. So for 5 bucks more you get the world's worst speakers.

How old is he? Those things do not really last that long. My son rode his for maybe two summers. They are so slow that you grow out of them so quick

I'm right there with you. Spend $60+ on harnesses and mounting hardware, $60+ for wheel control modules, and around 4 hours worth of time to install a $30 dollar setup isn't the way to do it. Nothing more disappointing than spending $300+ on an install and hating the quality of hardware. This setup would work great as a cooler install to take on float trips, I'd never install this in a vehicle. (I did professional installs in high school, we would not install anything we didn't sell, we only sold top tier items)

Maybe too unusual of a use to get much feedback, but I'm looking to make a DIY BT speaker out of car audio gear and maybe also use it as a sound bar for the TV. This would be loads better than TV speakers, right?

No detachable faceplate? Hard pass.

Not to deter theft of the unit itself, but to deter the thief from stealing it and returning later to break out all my windows after realizing what they stole. /s

If you would have told me 15-20 years ago I could get a Bluetooth head unit with smart assistant technology and 4 speakers for under $30 in 2021 my mind would have been blown.

These days if someone gave me the top of the line stuff for free only if I agreed to install it in my vehicle... no thanks. Those days are gone. 😆

You mod them if it's 12v you make it 24v and they become fast.. if it's a 24v you make it 36v ect.
