As far as the nibs, different people have different experiences, but my general experience is that I can get a good 4-6 months out of a nib, and then I need to switch it out. But you can get 10 nibs for less than $30... so it's not a huge extra expense.

Their site mentions this, but may be different in practice?

One of the best options for drawing/illustration in a tablet format is an iPad with an Apple Pencil, running the app Procreate. It is an app designed for sketching, painting, illustrating. Even professionals use Procreate and have done amazing stuff with it.
It also feels more natural to draw on a screen like a piece of paper, versus this tablet which takes some time to adapt to because your hand is drawing on the tablet while your eyes are staring at the monitor.
Photoshop can do more than Procreate can, but the learning curve is so steep is not worth it—in my experience Photoshop is too complicated for designers even in their 20s and 30s.
