The Feit Electric bulbs at Costco SUCK! I had 12 of them in my home and they constantly had issues. I ended up finding a different brand bulb and have had no issues since, plus the colors are significantly brighter in what I used.


That said, how is the brightness of colors on the Kasa bulbs?

I put this guy into my WFH office and it's been nice having the auto-color temperature adjust as the day goes on. Also seems to help with the white balance on my webcam vs the sun coming through the window.

Lumens aren't that important when you can double up (or more) on bulbs. That's what I do. And it's nice to be able to sometimes control them independently like if you want one always on red for late night bathroom breaks
That was kind of my thought. I did get in on the $0.99 deal last month for the single pack of these and now found 2 more places that I might find these useful. I usually stay away from the bulbs and use their switches but like you mentioned, in my case I want to have a set of exterior lights each be a different color. The other spot is a ceiling fan light that doesn't have a normal wall switch so I can't just replace that with a regular wifi switch.

I ended up getting the 4 pack of the 800 lumens, hopefully those are bright enough for the ceiling fan light (it has an opaque light cover). The other use is for an outside set of lights that doesn't need to be bright, I will probably dim those anyways.

Just bought two of these after the $1 bulb promotion via Alexa and I like them. They've had no issues connecting to my Smartthings hub and I find that they actually produce colors around the entire spectrum more vividly than my Gen 2 hues and a house full of Sylvania Smart+ bulbs (although the Smart+ bulbs are cheaper, so worth the tradeoff in bulk). They do purple especially well - the other bulbs often do this whitish-pink and these ones do a deep purple.

They're $40 for a 4 pack plus shipping from Wyze, or a bit more from Amazon, so they're slightly more expensive. I've been avoiding them thus far though because I've had connectivity issues with some of my cameras and door sensors, so I'm a bit reluctant to get into lights with them even though I quite like their cameras (despite the issues).

Weird. I have 4 of the 800 lumen bulbs lighting a 1000 square foot basement and they are more than bright enough to fully light the place up when at 100% brightness and color white.

Agree. Recently got the 800 lumens bulbs and they are not bright enough for a living room with two bulbs.might be good for a bedroom.was same with my hue bulbs,so not a kasa problem. Don't know if 1000 lumens would be better or go with higher.

sounds like you guys are trying to replace fixtures for old 100 watt equivalents with 60 watts, leds just aren't quite there yet (reliably or cheap)., have to double up with 60 watt equivalents for equivalent.
