I have this saw. It's great at what it does, however I find the locking mechanism on the marked angles is off by about a millimeter. They have a screw you can tighten the angle to any angle you want. The problem is how if it's off by a millimeter the screw doesn't seat right and snaps into the slot they put in there so it's always about half a degree off. It's kinda annoying but just something to be aware of on the QC side for ryobi. I think I can make adjustments to fix it but if you expect to get exact perfect angles, this is not the saw you want. If you're doing small projects at home and close enough is good enough, then happy shopping!

this is factory reconditioned (vs factory reburb which is like new). I purchased one last time and it came in a big box without original box and have some bubble wrap around it. It was pretty bang up when it came. Would def get factory recon at your own risk esp for a larger item.

They will fix or replace anything they sell for free. I had a broken base plate on a jigsaw and they didn't even argue they shipped out a replacement base plate. A friend got a planer with a bent piece and they did the same for him. I have never had to send anything back though.

Thanks! I've been looking for an affordable 2nd miter saw for our remodel. We have a big Dewalt one, but that one isn't a sliding one nor does it have the LED, plus it will be nice not to have to switch out the blades all the time for different purposes.

Thanks! I've been waiting for the home Depot deal that used to come around every six months or so. This is even better though!

I've used the 12 in version of this and it works well. The led cut line shadow is not visible in sunlight though.

I was considering this vs the 12in, went with the 12in since that 2in makes all the difference for some ppl.

If I recall, "reconditioned" from this store is sometimes beat up. But the "factory blemished" stuff is always fantastic.

I've never purchased anything from Direct tools outlet and am skeptical about receiving a faulty or damaged miter saw. They make you pay for shipping + return shipping and will charge you a 20% restocking fee. Is it worth the gamble???

Wow, you got some bubble wrap... You are golden. Mine order recently came in the same big box and the saw inside. That it...

Still have to test it today and hope it's still functional.

Great deal, just shock how it was shipped.

If it's faulty they should replace free of charge, the return fees are only in the event that you just change your mind/don't like what you ordered. But presumably you should be guaranteed a working and not too damaged item, I don't think you have to worry about that as a risk.

Yeah, I would have preferred the blemished as well, even for another $20-25. But they didn't have it in blemished, and the closest ones in blemished only had 7 1/4 blades and much smaller cross cut capacity.

I've bought from them and so far everything has been pretty good.
