These are great for younger toddlers who cannot maneuver smaller size bricks. Plus pulling these apart is super easy, so they can do it themselves. Now the flip side is that they are not very secure and toddlers do get frustrated because they don't know they can't just walk around with something they just built because the loose blocks do come apart easily. This set of blocks in various avatars is usually around 12-15$ at any given point of time. I have bought it at 8$, 11$, 14$ and so on in the past. The MSRP is obviously inflated.

Hope it helps.

Pls do not buy mega blocks I received as gift n the quality is very bad light n thin, which is ok but the 'bricks' pieces would not stay together they're very loose.

These are made for kids up to 60 months. I love how they are not too hard to put together and pulled apart. If my kid asked me to break up the blocks every 10 seconds, they won't be playing with them. Buying a couple more to help make a fort that will easily fall apart and have them spend more time to build it again to save my sanity. repped

As others have noted, these bricks don't fit tightly together. IMO, the max age these would be good for is 2 years. After that, just spend a bit more money on Lego's Duplo line. You can actually build something and it will hold.

I was going to get these on Amazon Black Friday...but almost every review said they barely connect to each other. Ended up getting Legos for 1 1/2 year olds even though my kids just turned 1.

These have very sharp and uneven edges. Didn't give them to my kid until he was almost 3. And they're cheaply made and hard to put together so he's not interested.

These have very sharp and uneven edges. Not safe for toddlers. Use your brain folks.

Has something changed in past few years? I don't recall any sharp edges. Will be on a lookout now on, thanks for the heads up.
