So here's the math for those with Original line:
Apply the $15 off $50 will get you $39 for 2 of these.
That's 46 pods for $39, which is around $0.848 each.
The cheapest pod is $0.70, so the premium you pay is $0.148/pod. Times 46, and you're spending $6.81 more than you normally would.

BUT... you get 2 mugs for $6.81, and a chance to try a variety of different espressos, so that is a pretty good deal, to me at least.

I got the vertuo one at regular price and feel like it was overpriced. I knew what I was getting into but was a little disappointed just opening a pod each day. The white mug that you get on the 24th is pretty nice, so I'm happy about that. That said, I would be happy with this advent set at the marked down price.

True but that is leveraging the $20 off $70.

And the amount of money spent is $50 vs $39.

If one is only interested in the same batch of coffee in greater number (presuming all at $0.70 level), then there's better value with what you described.

But for people who don't want to spend more than $40 and get 2 cups thrown in for the same price, this works well.

It all depends on whether one wants a mug for a discount or not, which is what I was looking for anyway.

100% I could care less about the mug ( I use a coffee thermos every day) but the novelty of trying 24 different pods will be fun for the minor price increase. This reviewer in the youtube video below thought the mug was really nice.

I think they fill the pods with an inert gas so there's no oxygen to cause oxidation and ruin the coffee.

I just ordered 7 sleeves and got 70 vertuo capsules for under .80 a piece. Much better use of the coupon IMO

Edit: in fairness I did order the advent calendar at full price earlier and my wife is enjoying it

You can use the coupon multiple times. If I didn't already have so much Nespresso coffee I'd probably consider placing 3-4 orders and stocking up for the new year.

I'm enjoying this. The packaging is fantastic as per usual with Nespresso. I've become a bit of a Nespresso enthusiast so I'm familiar with all of the coffees I've tried so far, but this could be a great way for somebody who's new to Nespresso to experience a variety of sizes and flavors.

The only disappointment I've found is that it's unlikely to include any of the Forest flavors, which also had packaging designed by Joanna Ortiz, or even the holiday coffees such as Gingerbread or Peppermint Pinwheel which I picked up at a boutique.
