Is 10 AWG wire too thick for a normal 115/120 Outlet? Or will it fit around the posts? I think most of the wire in my walls is 12/14 AWG.

I just converted from an electric water heater to a power vent gas. I was able to bend the 10ga around the posts on a 15amp receptacle. YMMV

Any deals on 12 or 14 gauge? The 10 gauge is going to be hard to work with for most folks.

10 Gauge is for 30 amp breakers. Yes you can use it for lighter loads but it's going to be a pain.

Nothing prohibits using it above ground where NM is allowed—also perfect for other damp locations where NM-B is an issue. It's more of a pain to strip, but for some it might be worth the extra savings.

I didn't say you couldn't? Just was pointing it out for anyone who might be looking for it since the deal posted here was for romex.

10 gauge is also for really long runs where you are looking to minimize voltage drop and wasted energy. 100% agree though that it is far more of a pain to work with. If you use it for a 20A circuit, I would personally use a junction box to switch back to 12 gauge for the final run to receptacles.

Anyone know if this is fine for running a new RV outlet in garage? About 25 feet.

Depends on the RV. Ours has a 50 amp service (2 A/Cs) and this isn't heavy enough. If yours is a 30amp it'll work.

Thanks, don't even have the rv yet. Didn't even start looking. But thinking about a lightweight under 25 foot travel trailer for a hunting camp. I have electric service in a garage area and was thinking about just adding an rv outlet outside. I think 30 amp may be sufficient?
