Definitely worth it. The $5 monthly reward can be used twice (YMMV), once in store and again online (take a screenshot of it before using in store and use it online as "promo code" quickly). The 10k points can be used in store or online, just make sure to pick the right one.
So can you just buy $5 worth of gift cards each month? Seems like a decent deal you get $70 worth of stuff for $10.
Easiest thing to buy is $5 game credit like Nintendo eShop; they can print that small an amount on the register.

They wouldn't do $5 for me... Only $10. Anything special I need to ask for specially.

I used to just ask at the counter for $5 Nintendo eShop credit. Some other systems only have a minimum of 10.

We're you able to get it to work? According to some posts, they changed it in the POS where it won't work on digital stuff any more.

I only asked for a $5 Nintendo eGift card and they said they couldn't do it. They didn't know I was trying to use my monthly $5.

Weird. I've never had an issue with them printing $5 out of the register.

Did you use your points earned or your $5 monthly reward you get that expires each month?

For some reason I didn't get any points for January. I signed up on Dec 10, do I need to wait for Jan 10?

You don't get points for the $5 monthly reward. You get a coupon. Open the GameStop app>Rewards>Active Offers

I went in this month and requested a $5 Xbox receipt code with my monthly coupon, he said no problem. After a couple minutes on the computer he said he couldn't get his system to work. Don't know if it is a system issue or policy change.

No luck today on using $5 monthly coupon on PS gift card, I was told it could be a system issue or policy change, they don't receive any new policy yet
I tried on Sunday for a Nintendo $5. Employee really wanted to help me. Said he tried for 3 other people that day. Also wasn't sure if system error or new policy.

Can I use the 10k points to buy Steam or Nintendo GC online? Or do I have to buy in store?
I guess the $5 monthly discount no longer works but wonder if there are any restrictions on point certs. Previously I could not use Gamestop GC to buy any of those online but can do that in store. Thanks.

Looks like $5 certificate does not work on any digital currency or gift cards

I just had the same problem today. After he couldn't get it to work the guy went to get his manager. Manager confirmed GameStop store-wide policy change. Monthly $5 reward cannot be used towards digital or gift card.

I feel like this is a change in the terms after the service has been signed up for. I had been able to get an Xbox gift card as recently as november. Since you also can't use them on any orders where you get a free item, the monthly rewards are basically trash now
