Definitely worth it. The $5 monthly reward can be used twice (YMMV), once in store and again online (take a screenshot of it before using in store and use it online as "promo code" quickly). The 10k points can be used in store or online, just make sure to pick the right one.
So can you just buy $5 worth of gift cards each month? Seems like a decent deal you get $70 worth of stuff for $10.
Easiest thing to buy is $5 game credit like Nintendo eShop; they can print that small an amount on the register.

They recently stopped allowing this for eShop, and an employee told me it seems like they're moving toward stopping that for all others (Xbox still worked for me on 1/29 ... we'll see if it still does when I try this weekend).

I wouldn't do this solely with the thought you can get a $5 gift card per month with the reward. You'd need to have more reasons to want to do this.
Yeah, I posted that quite a bit before they cut it off.

Well I think it is official that the days of the $5 gift card are over. I rolled in today and tried to get one for Xbox (usually the most available) and he couldn't do it. I presume that's going to mean the same for all $5 'printed on receipt' card redemption.

In January they had said you had to by a $6 or $12 Receipt XBox Gift Card for it to work (Double dip still worked). Then in February they changed it to $10 minimum (Double dip stopped working). Will have to figure out in March if I want to cancel. Hate getting surprised every beginning of the year when it comes to terms of a membership.

They waited until most subs renewed and then all of the sudden blocked all digital items from using the $5 monthly reward. You can't even purchase $10 eshop online. I'm going to cancel and see if I can get a refund. This is the last time I'm dealing with Gamestop.
Hi. Were you able to get a refund for the membership? I just renewed last week of January and realized this month the $5 does not apply to the PSN gift card. How to request for a refund if I cancel my membership now?

Same boat. My PUR membership just renewed maybe last month. On 1/30, I was able to use the $5 reward for a $10 PSN card. My usual fallback if I didn't use it for anything else.

From my attempts, and the comments in the thread, seems like they have now taken the ability to buy any e-currency as of this month.

My as well cancel and try to get my money back if that is the case. Rip off.

So in March I found out that it depends who is at the teller. The February teller dude made me buy a $10 MS Rewards card but the March teller dudet (lady) just let me buy the $6 receipt MS Rewards code like she had done in January. So basically act dumb each time if it is a new teller or make sure you always use the same teller that doesn't mind repeating the same deal they did before.

As for the double dipping, it seems to still work but not exactly. You can not use the code a second time online for any GC but you can get a $5 discount for an online purchase using the same code for most physical goods. Might eventually use my code to get a $5 discount on any physical Nintendo game on sale. Unless I find something in the $10 range that want.

Will update once I go back for April in the next few days.

So the only real change, minus ymmv people working there, is just you can't buy these gaming codes online with the monthly $5. Good to know, thanks!

Yes, we use to be able to use the in-store only code online(had to save a pic of the code before redeeming it in store). To buy a $10 or higher GC for any console. But now the code is loaded on you account but now it is not applicable to any GC of any amount. Seems to be a virtual item block on the code on the website. So it is possible to double dip but it has to be a physical item like games or other physical goods like cards, etc.

Went to Gamestop store today to buy my usual $20 Steam code with the monthly $5 and $15 worth of reward points/coupon. The clerk said as of today, you can't use in-store coupon from points to redeem for digital game currency. Can only buy physical items with it in-store. This new policy kicked in today coinciding with Pro membership price increase. Guess I will be out after my membership ends. Too much bs and has been steadily going down hill since I posted this deal originally.
