I got the chime pro extender, solar panel, multiple batteries. Nothing but headaches (terrible battery life even with proprietary solar panel, poor connectivity) and a subscription fee to boot.

If you don't and if you need professional monitoring (and you don't have it now), this is better because Ring alarm system and its monitoring is great and cheap. The included one year subscription is worth $100 by itself.
If you don't and if you need professional monitoring (and you do have it now), this is still probably better, but you may have to change your account to make it "new".
If you don't and if you don't intend to have professional monitoring, Eufy is better (you dont need subscription for recording videos).
I believe Ring wont record anything without a subscription, Eufy does.
I have Ring Alarm system without subscription. I used the costco deal a couple of years ago to try out their subscription, but the doorbell was useless without it, so I changed to Eufy. I had the second generation Ring Doorbell, and I would say motion detection and connectivity is better on Eufy (Ring was terrible, Eufy is just about acceptable). This deal is for Ring 3 though, and it is claimed to be better for Wifi and motion detection, but I have not tried it. I will stick with Eufy for now.

Now thinking about returning eufy smart lock as we use more of garage than main door for unlocking. But it will take off the dollar off and I will not get much back.
I missed the 40 dollar deal on ring. Now confused than before. Lol.
Thought I would just need something to notify me when someone is at front door and no recording on cloud or monitoring is fine.
After your comments, may be a I should use a week to see eufy serves well. One point security is better, but ring was cheaper (130 for 10).

Having said that, someone determined would get in no matter what. This is only about your peace of mind (that you have some protection.. real or otherwise).
Is the subscription tied to the doorbell somehow?
