Did they fix the internal battery issue? Where it dies after an year and cannot be replaceable

The Show 5 is pretty bad, cheaply made with a poor mic. I like Amazon devices, generally, but suspect many would prefer the better products.

The biggest difference is the Pro requires wired power and the Doorbell 4 can use battery or wired power.

The pro has a better vertical field of view for packages or things on your doorstep.

I have the Echo 5 and 2 Echo 8s. For anything video, I think you have to go with the 8s. I have them set up with my Blink cameras and doorbell and the 5 is just too small for anything but audio really. It does sound good though. I can't stand all the suggestions from Alexa on all the Show devices. Turning almost notifications off reduces it a lot but it is still there.

Just get a DC from amazon and make it constant. I didn't have a bell on my back porch so I bought a ring and a DC adapter and it's wired and powered nonstop

I had the original Ring Pro before it became part of Amazon, but it died after a few years. I was thinking of upgrading to a Ring Pro 2 but for nearly half the price with a free Echo Show (probably will give to my parents), I couldn't resist.

Anyone with a Ring Pro 2 who feels it was worth the upgrade for the price difference?

Just be careful as it's a known issue after about a year the doorbell button will crack on the pro.
