I did read it, and I just re-read it.

You didn't make any mention of looking for the Tracfone-specific version of the phone. Just asking why "this phone" isn't available anywhere else.

In any case, vendor-specific products are a thing. Especially if they're a big enough vendor like HSN.
Because it's an HSN exclusive

They have a partnership with Tracfone for specific deals
And I've found this for you:

"Why isn't this phone listed at any other store? Not Best Buy, target, Amazon , nowhere."

You missed it.
I have flagship phones (Android and iPhone)
These cheap phones can handle a lot of tasks as second and third phones
No reason to wear it out using it for GPS, and tracking and contact spying etc when I can use a $50 phone (that uses little juice) for the same thing (and leaving contacts out).
Battery cycling is what kills phones off the most so go easy on flagship use for tasks a cheap phone can do
These days multiple phones are the way to go
Nobody should be locked-in to one phone when so many decent capability phones are available for price of a couple pizzas
This is dumb and no one in the USA does this. Do you know why? Because you can just buy another battery for your Android for the same price as these pizza phones and by the time your iPhone can no longer hold a charge these cheap Android phones will be obsolete. Save yourself money AND hassle and stick to one primary phone. Like the rest of the country.

Keep in mind that this is just a 4G LTE VoLTE phone, NOT 5G.

Why would anyone w/ an *annual* limit of 1.5Gb want the broader bandwidth but shorter range of 5G anyway? It's not a phone for streaming anything ["Hullo, I've used up my entire year of data 15 minutes after activation...."] it's the 2020 equivalent of a Tracfone burner feature phone from 2010....

uh huh...by the time you go through 10 of these phones, you still pay less than ONE iPhone - and have the comfort of not worrying about breaking it or losing it... not everyone is a "power user" and could care less about what other people think about their phones.

Of course some people do: I do. I use phones like this for MP3 players, GPS, to run control apps for things I need for work, to check my car's trouble reports, as an ereader etc. Absolutely no reason to tie up my 'real' phone doing tasks that can be done by a throwaway phone.

This is not the point of discussion. If you want to use this over an iPhone, go for it. No problem if you want to use this as a primary phone. But this poster is trying to say it's better to use a secondary phone over just using one primary phone to reduce usage on the primary phone. That is what a huge waste of money. It is better to just use one phone until it dies and then buy a new one.

It's the same as someone buying two cars to reduce use on the expensive car. That will also be a huge waste of money over just buying one car and using it until it dies.

There is a reason. Cost. You are spending extra to not "tie up your phone" whatever that means. You bought your phone to use it.

backup phones, like "beater" cars, are very common... it actually does save money by saving the nice expensive one from breaking, getting lost, stolen, wear and tear on abusive use case scenarios...plus if the nice one breaks, you have a backup while that's fixed - and with a price under $50, it makes total sense.

Verizon prepaid android phones used to work but not sure if they still work now. My most recent swap was done using a ZTE phone from Tracfone.

If you want to buy a phone for swap, you can look for any android phone that is ATT/T-Mo/Sprint/non-Verizon Prepaid on Ebay or Craigslist. If you want to be safe, look for something that is old but in good condition and not blacklisted. Also, message the seller and ask for the IMEI so that you can check to see if it is eligible for swap. Other than that, the phone can be carrier locked and have crappy specs like 1GB ram + 8GB storage.
Thank you!

LOL this funny yet logical comment made my day. Don't get me wrong, I used to be a gadget whore and there was a time when I was "transitioning" from 12yrs of Android usage to iOS and was carrying a Pixel 3 and an iPhone 12 mini for 2 months and that was PITA. One day I just did a cold turkey switch and yeah it was hard, but yeah, most ppl just use ONE phone. Maybe a backup old phone, but not simultaneously Applause

Actually, many people do this. They have one commuter car, and one in the garage to drive for 'fun' on the weekends.

Small comment: battery is not removable.

Decent phone for light duty; I own one on ConsCell network (from Target).

Also seems tobe $130 at Visible. What am I missing there?

Thanks. Keep up the great dealin' !

Visible one can be as low as $5 with referral code, check reddit. for codes (otherwise $40 with one month, both options, with unlimited service) - and that one is unlocked out of the box...buuuut you have to port a number and send in an old phone.

This one, you have to wait a year for unlocking, and get bare-bones service for a year (not for daily use for most people).
