is the inside the same coil like an electric stove range?

wouldn't the stove work (gas or electric)? my family actually just tried using the toaster oven to heat up the marshmallow.. it browned slight but not enough to melt the chocolate

still this thing looks a bit useless..

Received one for a gift a couple years ago. We break it out when the weather gets cold and pair it with hot cocoa. The kiddos absolutely love it. Yes it is a novelty but it does work very well for what it is.

Sharper image used to be cool in the 80's but since then everything they make and sell is by far the worst quality crap there is. Someone got me a heated ice scraper that was supposed to melt the ice on your windshield with coils that heat up when plugging a really thin wire into the cigarette lighter. Heated coils with nothing beneath and thin cheap plastic on top. If it even did work I'd be more likely to use a hammer and chisel to get the ice off the windshield. It went straight in the trash. -but hey a smores maker? -Count me in! -Just kidding.
