Not in complete disagreement, but this is for those looking for ultra portability. This one also comes with a touchscreen. I'm not looking for either of those things but there are ppl who are. This is nearly 1lb lighter compared to the g14.

This is a really nice laptop for what it is. I love the specs. I use touch all the time and the 3050 Ti is just enough to have a little fun. All in all, you'll pay for it but this checks a lot of boxes for some people.

I wish that $800 deal for the acer swift pro came back. At this price point i think the asus g14 is a better buy when it was on sale for the same price.

I wish the Acer was black or Dark grey. I'd buy one at full price. Silver/Gold is ugly. Looks like if a grandma designed it and picked the colors.

I'd get the gold/silver for like $600-$700. put a skin on it or something.

Found this deal on Best Buy for $1250. I paid $1400 during Black Friday, so I figured this was a good deal. Taller 16:10 aspect ratio, touchscreen and convertible form factor (full 360 hinge). With the Ryzen chipset and RTX 3050 ti, this has been quite the impressive laptop in an ultrabook form factor. Lightweight, decent build, and professional look (not too many gamer laptop type accents). I have been playing Forza Horizon 5, Halo Infinite at normal/high mix settings and enjoying the experience so far.

For awork/game/travel needs, this hit all the marks for me. It is rare to see this much versatility in a "gaming" laptop. If you need hardcore performance, look elsewhere. But for the quick game fixes and decent settings, high refresh rate, as well as the ability to connect Asus FLOW eGPU unit (3070 or 3080), this is a great all around laptop.

That's ridiculous

4K at a the smallest 13" display size is silly, it slaps battery life and games cannot be played at such a resolution so you have to downscale which games don't like too much, and windows scaling isn't that great so you have to increase the size of everything.

Also the XG mobiles are overpriced to shit and were a failed product by Asus, and are not really any faster then eGPU's lol which also have resale value and other utility, unlike XG mobiles.

A lot of travelers dont want a laptop that screams "gamer" and unfortunately in some parts it makes you a target of thieves. And although in the professional world the "gamer" aesthetic is slowly becoming more common, it is definitely very uncommon still and people don't want a laptop that looks like the x13 flow.

4K is still better for the screen so this would have more options besides gaming, plus games that need the extra horsepower you can play in 720p and it would scale properly on the screen. 4K gives you the option of play games at 720p, 1080p, 1440p, and 2160p, which some games could run at 4K like Valorant and simpler eSports games. 1080p just doesn't cut it for games like battle royales.
