I bought the 800 model at Costco about a year ago. 6 months ago the safely switch broke made it difficult to engage( you need hold down the safety switch while simultaneously pressing the on button). I was dealing with that, but the last month the blade attachment seized up and I returned to Costco. Buyer beware.

It's only $10. If it lasts 2 dinner meals it paid for itself in saved time vs throwing everything into a blender, washing the blender, drying the blender, and putting it away.

Warranty: 90 Day Woot Limited Warranty

Uses both renewed and refurbished language.

Anyone know who does the refurbishing?

if you don't have an immersion blender I think this is a great buy.
total game changer for blending soups to not even take them out of the pot/pan.

This is a good (better) deal. I got it for $14.99 (renewed) from Woot! about a month ago. No funcational problems so far (used at least twice a week) though it said its a renewed version. I'm asking Woot! to price match…

Update: I got a full refund...

Woot is selling three versions of refurb Cuisinart hand blenders (HB-120PCFR, HB-600PCFR and HB-800PCFR). Is there an across-the-board issue with these things?

I am always iffy on buying a product where they have so many refurbished units available that they have a special product listing. Stuff like cellphones make sense since they were probably trade-ins from people upgrading. Kitchen appliances? Probably a poor quality product.

Says stainless shaft. Wonder if it is. I had an older Cuisinart one and the it had a thin stainless casing but shafy was plastic. Needless to sya, didn't last very long
