I had not been to a cosco for probably 20 years. I went in last week and walked through the store just to see if anything had changed, or if I could see anything I would regularly buy. I talked to the guy at the customer service counter. He told my GOVT, employes and retired get $20 off what ever level of membership you buy. He also most noteably said that if I get to say day 364 of the membersip year, I could cancel and get a full refund.. So tempted, but I still do not know what I would regularly buy there.. yea the deals are nice but I just do not know if I will remember to cancel in a year, or if I will even use it after I buy the few things I have in mind.. That $110 Netgear CM1100 DOCSIS 3.1 32x8 modem is a great buy..
You buy toilet paper, kitchen paper, and bottled water at Costco. Do you poop? From the paper alone, you could break even within a year.

That 512 Samsung is a step down from this Sandisk. The Next Generation is pretty close and costs $70 shipped from Amazon.
It's a deal for Costco subscribers. It says Costco in the thread title. If you don't have a membership, you can easily skip it.
I disagree. While the read speed may be lower the Samsung cards have been more reliable for me. I've since stopped using SanDisk micro sdcards because they run hot. The same goes for their regular non-ssd thumb drives. I, however, love their ssd based thumb drives. These Samsung evos are very reliable.
This is the extreme version going for $79.79 on amazon right now.
The non extreme version is $47.99. Best price I've seen is around $40
If anyone is buying it for the Nintendo Switch theoretically you will not see a speed difference since the switch's read speed is 100 MB/s, but for $2 you might as well get the extreme version.
Can someone tell me the use case for the faster speed? Gopro?
Most 360 camera needs V30 speed card. My insta360 will just stop recording randomly because the memory can't keep up with the amount of data written by the camera.

NAND memory like this runs better the closer it is to its max operating temp, believe it or not. So don't worry about how hot it gets unless it's slowing down

It's also great for the higher end android smartphones that still have SD card slots. Some of them can record 8K video for some dumb reason

Are you really that cheap to use the membership for a year and then cancel?
You can add subscription and then cancel right away.
Please don't encourage useless comments like the one from the original poster... "not a deal.. you have to have a way to get to the store..." or they only take money or some other legal form of payment..'
