Not the tripod but I own their carbon monopod and it is extremely well-built, lightweight, and feels durable.

I've been using this for the last few years, the legs are a bit sticky meaning they don't move smoothly. The ball head is garbage, it'll work for about months worth of regular use but then it'll start to slip. I'm not great at describing it but I can recommend the tripod for the price, the ball head should be replaced though, add on another $60-100 for the replacement/upgrade.

It was $99 on the day it was posted, but gone by the following day. I was hesitant to go for it without some reviews from slickdealers, but the deal didn't hold out for a few more days.

There's a deal on the Sirui T-025s with ball head on bhphoto now. Double the price but I think it's more worth the money. I know Vanguard but a $90 carbon fiber tripod sounds too unreal for me.

Carbon fiber tripods are light and brittle. I had one. It can't take a beating.

This may be your experience with one CF tripod you've owned but that's not universally true. Quality CF tripods (like gitzo) are super durable and short of smashing the legs with a hammer purposely, you're not gonna break them.

Do you have a price or link? I'm finding that Adorama will inflate the original price and discount it, so even the current price for the VEO 2 233CV at $130 still looks like a sale.
