Exact same BF pricing if you missed out on buying this 3 weeks ago.

For those with Amex offer $200 off $800 offer, you can reduce this by $100 per laptop if you purchase two separate orders of this $399.99 laptop (sales taxes will make it > $800 qualifying you for the credit)

I had both the $200 off $800 Amex offer and a 10% Dell Amex offer on the same Amex card (biz Plat) and bought two orders- making this $260 per computer ($399.99 multiply by 2 minus $200 amex offer minus $80 amex 10% dell offer).

As an added bonus the Amex biz Plat has a biannual $200 Amex biannual credit on Dell purchases further reducing my cost to $160 per computer.

There was also 8% Rak CB making this a further $32 reduction per computer for an effective $128 per computer.

For those wondering- yes all Dell credit stacked just fine and I've already gotten credit posted from Amex and even my CB has passed without issues.

SLICK!!!
Isn't that the point of slickdeals lol. No but seriously if you read my post properly you will see that nothing I did was specific to BF.

10% Amex offer expires today and $200 off $800 expires end of year so it's still possible for someone to replicate if they had added the offer on their Amex cards

The base Dell pricing $399 now is the same as on BF. Both Amex Dell offers and even the Amex Dell Biz Plat benefit credit don't have anything to do with BF.

Yes I'm thankful I was able to stack all promos on the same card.

But my point is to raise awareness so other Amex card members out there who have some combination of those offers right now can replicate to a certain degree.

I've learned countless useful things reading comments in deal threads. That was my whole point in the first place
Don't hate by interpreting the comment as gloating. Instead, use it as a data point to see what's possible and build that into your own situation. Obviously the stars aligned for that person, allowing the fortunate opportunity to stack offers. And that obviously won't be the case for most... Stacking discounts = the name of the game = SLICK!

If you're buying intel I think you should try for an 11th gen vs a 10th gen.

edit: lol I got a thumbs down for that. Ok, feel free to buy a 10th gen...

I wouldn't get a 11th gen i3 dual core. But agreed that the 11th gen i3 quad core is an alternative to this 10th gen i5 quad core

What does your black Friday purchase have to do with this deal? Sounds like you just like to just pat yourself on the back with everyone around to watch.

LOL, that webpage twice boasts that this model uses 11th gen CPU, but comes with a 10th gen. Oops Smilie

"15.6-inch laptop with latest 11th generation Intel® Core™ processor....."

"The speed you need: A responsive yet quiet performance, featuring the latest 11th generation Intel® Core™ processor......"

This checks all the key specifications for a long-term, budget/productivity laptop (8 GB of RAM with an upgrade path, 4-core i-series CPU, 1080p screen) and does so at the near bottom of the range this year (yes, the best BF deals got similar specifications down to $340, but without a time machine... $400 isn't bad).

About the only feature missing for which anyone would really be left wanting would be touch screen, which would be difficult to find at this price. The closest I've seen as of late was the Surface Laptop Go offer at Micro Center which got things down to $450. But, although 8GB of RAM is plenty for most productivity applications, the Surface Laptop Go design did trade off a path for a future RAM upgrade.

There's also the fact that this comes in a 15.6" form factor, though again that is typical for Windows laptops at these lower price points (where smaller laptops command a premium when excluding some of the early BF offers this year).

If you've been holding out for a student laptop (gift for the niece, grandkid, etc.) this is a fine choice. You could always hold out for more featu

Good luck!
Jon

Look, this is SD, a forum, and ppl are going to be misinterpreted all the time, some ppl will gloat, some ppl will threadcrap, haters are always gonna hate, etc. The idea behind SD, for me, is to adopt awareness. I take what I can and move on. No need to dwell on other ppl's comments. If you're letting other ppl in a public forum impact your mood, you should really stop using it and find a new hobby. Next.

Quote from jhansen5k :
I assure you I don't misinterpret anything in his post. There are multiple ways to express a point, but sounding off on a Black Friday deal that diminishes the value of the current post is a backhanded slap to the OP.

Everyone on SD appreciates ways to save money, but telling us how much money YOU saved without anyone else being able to replicate it is just gloating.

I'm surprised that all laptops don't have backlit keyboards. Once you have one you never want a laptop without one. It's great in low light areas
