If you're testing the write speed, your source might be the bottleneck. A SATA HDD only reads 140-220MB/s. If you're testing from another SSD then that's odd

My wife is a photographer and uses these to store all her in-progress and finished work. Speeds are good enough for quick transfer from her camera and Photoshop editing when using USB-C connection. Just got her another 2TB in Oct otherwise I'd probably be grabbing this as a stocking stuffer.
