Very good mic. Check out Bandrew reviews in his Podcastage channel on YouTube for his review. This is about the best USB mic you can buy and this is 1/2 the price from a year ago. PS…they don't make this model anymore. The new one is USB-C and isn't quite as high quality as this old school mini USB version. I've used it for Zoom stuff mostly, and you could very well podcast with this. It is upgradable to pro cables if you go heavy into podcasting at some point.

Note: You have to keep this mic very close to your mouth to have it pick up your voice so If you're not accustomed to it there will be a learning curve. Also, the mic must be in the camera frame to sound good on Zoom, so consider if you are willing to make that trade off to sound super crisp to the 5% of your coworkers who will notice the difference 🤷

generally speaking, most pro audio mics are vastly superior to flashy gamer stuff...

How about using it for podcasts? I've just got the Yeti Blackout USB Microphone at $80. Which one is better please?
It seems yeti has a ton of reliability issues…

Good mic for consumer usage, definitely not for studio work since it can only record at 44.1 khz/48khz sample rate and 16bit depth.

is the MIC strictly USB?

I have a karaoke machine and want to use it with it but its not usb
This microphone has XLR and USB which makes it versatile to go between a direct hookup to a computer or to a mixer, karaoke (assuming it has an XLR input), etc. I'm really considering this just for that very reason. The USB would make for an easy setup to my PC, but if I ever decide to do more and get a mixer, I could then hook it up to it. I'm wanting it mainly for possibly live/recorded videos and considering maybe playing around with making a podcast. From what people are saying, here, I'm really leaning towards this one, especially as a starter microphone. Just trying to decide if I order the bundle or if I could find the same items cheaper on Amazon. Not sure of the quality of either.

Is the extra bundle worth it?

Doesn't seem like the best, but I ordered it because I probably wouldn't be able to use it without the arm. I'll update later on the quality (if it every leaves Virginia).

Deciding between this and ATR2100x-USB on B&H [bhphotovideo.com], solely for the mini usb vs usb-c.

Received it today. The microphone and the headphones are bundled in the same box. It is called an "Education Pack" AT-EDU25. The microphone only comes with two USB cables. There's no XLR cable.

I'm debating this AT2005USB and Samson Q2U for the podcasting. According to the Youtube video, Samson Q2U is a little bit too hissssssss for me. Anyone has experience on this two? Thanks.

Edit: Just ordered this at2005usb due to its more natural sounding compare to Q2U.

Hmm. Did it come with the pleather mic carrying case like the mic does when purchased separately?
