OnePlus is a nightmare to deal with. Worst customer support I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Wasted countless hours dealing with support over literally 2 months, had to send my phone in twice and lost a $20 Dbrand skin in the process. Issue was never actually resolved, and they refused to replace the phone. They'll forever be on my shit list now.
Thanks to itxjustin for the steps to make the phone SIM-free (unlocked to use on other carriers).

1. Turned the phone on without sim
---- Connect to WIFI --
2. Went to Settings, Connections
3. Select Network Unlock
4. Select Permanent Unlock
5. Done
6. Update to Android 11
7. Check with a non-TMO SIM to see if you can make and receive calls.
I had this phone for almost a year and a half. It was great at first but now it gives a "not responding" message every so often. Also gets a lot hotter than it used to.... I bought it for $400 awhile ago so I'm not complaining. I love the hypercharge feature, every phone should have it.

I think it's still a good phone for $250 but just know there are issues with it.

Id like an answer to this as well
Pixel 3 is pretty old now. Compare the specs. No comparison. What other phone can you get now for $250 with these specs?

I have the one plus 9. Okay phone for the price. Moved from Pixel 4XL. I won't buy one plus phone again. Its memory management is so aggressive that if I open one app, switch to another, then switch back, the app will reload. The camera is horrible, blurry and unusable with low light. The high refresh rate is nice, the phone is fast, but I hate to reload my games/browser every single time I switched to different app. I updated to android 12 and my touch screen stopped working, so I had to revert it back to 11. I have always own an android before, but I'm seriously consider switching to iPhone.

Lol, how desperate are they to clear inventory for this phone? But with how horrible OnePlus' software has become, I guess it makes sense not many people want it. Might be a good deal if the bootloader can be unlocked immediately

If it had expandable memory I would be in but it can't take a micro SD so I am out. Major drawback for me. I need to swap out as needed.

I've used this phone for a month with no issue. It got a 1gb update right after I unlocked it. Which IMO is a major update. Maybe alot of bugs got fixed? This phone has been this price at least 3-4 times in the last month or so. I know alot say OnePlus is a nightmare but at $250 I'll roll the dice. So far it's paying off. I will say my Nord N10 was flaky at times but not so bad I couldn't use it. But again for the price for a new phone, unlocked, decent specs it's worth it.

Yeah, my Nord N10 5G exhibits similar issues. And not to mention the lag when trying to open/switch between apps, a far cry from my other OnePlus devices lol.

Will this be compatible with AT&T after they turn off 3G? Currently have a 7T and 6T and getting messages that phones won't work in 2022.

Nobody is forcing anyone to buy it. Most companies cut their prices to get rid of old stock. That's normal. The phone is a year old. I just ask you to show me a better phone for $250.

How's this compared to Note 9.

Check the bands on this phone and the bands that support ATT. Or try a ATT forum to find out. I'm sure they would know
