I work at a local boost mobile, thought I'd help try to explain those asking about the att or T-Mobile thing. Basically we use both, the new dish/att network(boost calls it the transformed network) is not compatible with most of our phones, only the Samsung A32 and Moto G pure. We can also activate most unlocked BYO iPhones under the transformed network. Most people are still on the T-Mobile towers(expanded network), as most of our phones currently can only run on those, and they have this weird thing where only new customers can be put on the new transformed network at this time, no upgrading for existing customers. I have no idea if you order this deal online though if they are going to send you the new transformered SIM card( black sim) or the T-Mobile expanded network sim(orange sim).

dang, I paid $180 + taxes/fees (came out to around $200) for the Mint Mobile 12-month 4GB plan.this is cheaper AND 25% more data.

I've been very happy with the AT&T 8GB+rollover prepaid plan. It's $300/year ($25/mo), but with 13% off Kroger prepaid card, there's no taxes. That's under $22/mo (less if you have a rewards card). I prefer to be directly on a major network, not buy through resellers, who I've had problems with in the past because they don't have the customer service infrastructure and frequent problems with the main carrier's systems.
AT&T 8GB plan also good deal for Canada roaming also as it's included in the plan. I have confirmed it works great in Montreal - one way to get cheap quality data in Canada. I always love to hear of other ways to get temporary cheap data roaming (now that I'm on Mint)...perhaps other slickdealers can comment?

The downside is last time I looked the AT&T 8GB plan did not include 5G. Trade offs.

I tried to get the gift cards from the Kroger Gift Card site but they charge TN Tax of 9.25% so it negates the 13% off, how did you get these without paying tax?

How do you pay the 300 annual plan with the gift card? I cannot find the option to input the gift card.

Does anyone know if this pricing is permanent or have an expiration date? I have a Mint Mobile line that expires in a month or two.

From what I've heard, 5G coverage is so spotty and battery draining that for my purposes, I'm fine with 4G. Obviously, different people have different use cases.

Beware! Boost has terrible customer support. Don't expect anything if you ever need any support! Their support agents can't even speak or understand plain simple English. I've recently burned my hands with these crooks. Never again!

You know if this is an online only deal or can I go in store and make sure I get the transform SIM card

Could you elaborate?

I am trying to pay and sign up for this deal, but I keep getting "unknown error."
I tried boostmobile chat chat support, but it keeps asking my to sign in.
I tried calling boostmobile and that is absolutely awful. They give no options to speak to a rep, and none of options address my issue. I finally got to a rep by repeated pressing zero. The rep was completely confused by my question. They just keep saying things that make no sense, i.e. "go to activate" "sign into your account" when I try to explain I don't have an account yet, they are completely lost. They are obviously only able to read from a script, and have no clue what to do if it's not on their script.

Is boostmobile always this awful?

It's an online only. As far as trading the sim card with a store you can try but highly unlikely, unless you happen to live near one of the 5% of stores that are corporate owned. Most are franchises and they definitely won't swap anything out, at least not for free. In any case, everyone will eventually be able to migrate to the new transformed network, they just haven't really given us a time frame besides "next year".

Mint tends to upgrade their plans beginning of every year for new and existing customers, you will get more data soon, don't feel bad.

How's your phone? If it works on ATT network, I assume they'll send you the transformed sim. Personally I'll probably end up with TMobile sim because my phone apparently doesn't work outside TMobile network (bullshit software lock?).

I just went to cricket wireless and tried my IMEI to byod, it says not eligible. However Boost says YES, so definitely would give me TMobile sim.
