TurboTax® will automatically import your Fidelity account info
Get your refund quickly by direct depositing into your Fidelity account"

To access download version:
1. Click link from Fidelity to be directed to TurboTax site.
2. Once on TurboTax site, click File Your own Taxes on top left corner.
3. Click CD/Download Products
4. Click Compare All products

After getting it for free the last couple of years, that link only shows $20 off. Bummer!
UPDATE: Nvm! I see it on the summary page after refreshing a couple of times.

How to download instead of online version?
UPDATE: Figured out how to download. After logging in, I reopened the Fidelity link, on the top menu goto file your taxes, cd/download, compare products, and the premier should be $0. Had to try this several times but finally got the download version.

Ah bummer, I don't see it anywhere in my account. Only the $20 offer.

It's hard to tell how these things actually work, but no way is the Fidelity rep BS'ing. Their chart says you need to have 120+ trades or a bunch of money with them. Does your account show Active Trader Services status?

Same strangeness here. My wife's account with just a Roth, brokerage and solo-401k under the reported thresholds got the free offer while my account with the same and more got the $20 off offer.

When I log into Fidelity from my PC (vs. my phone), I now see where it says:
"Get TurboTax® Premier free".

When I click on that link, it takes me to a page that says:
"Fidelity Investments has teamed up with TurboTax
Save up to $69
on TurboTax federal products
We'll import your Fidelity Investments investment income for you."

However, when I click on the link where the price of $69 is crossed out to $0, the link says:
"Start for free
Pay only when you file"

So is it really free or will I be charged when I file as it says? It almost reads as a bait and switch.

It sounds like you didn't click the link mentioned in #2 thru #4 of the OP instructions... it's at the top of the page that loads from the Fidelity site. From what I remember, what you clicked on is on the page that comes up and you scrolled down.to the buying choices there.. you want to click on the link at the top of the page first. The options from there will show a zero-cost download option for Premier without the "start for free" notes.

My brother has this offer under his fidelity account and I only have the $20 discount. He never uses TurboTax to file his taxes. My question is, would he be able to claim the offer and hand it over to me? Or would it be linked to his account info. Appreciate any thoughts

But that's for the download. The question was whether the online version stays free. And the answer is yes, it does. I started on my PC but then went to the app and it still showed it as free.

Sorry, but this is a ridiculous comment. It says the price is $0. You can't possibly expect them to show different language for the rare case where the price is free. You will pay the price shown, which is $0. Not to mention that if it really were B&S, is would have been mentioned a long time ago. You make it seem like you're the first person to use the offer.

The download link is hidden for me so it got me to start an online form which deposits refunds into the Fidelity account (explains why this is "free"...jumps to this which is where you can actually download it...:
