Leatherman has lost some of it's quality:

"according to the filings from a 2006 lawsuit that was brought against them, accusing Leatherman of false advertising "made in the USA" messaging. These parts include:
Files – Europe
Corkscrews – Europe
Plier jaws – Mexico
Two small fastening components – Unknown"

Bought this when it first came out. They're $40 in store but stock seems kinda low.

Its about the same quality as their low end rev, except this has spring action pliers and a separate serrated blade. For the price it's a good multi tool. At 5.9 oz it doesn't feel heavy in the pocket at all. I recommend as a beater tool or if you're looking to pick up a multi tool but don't want to spend an arm and a leg for a wave.

Best bet is to find someone who's a veteran or first responder and have them give you a coupon code for 40% off. Bought my wave for $60

Found at local Costco so it can be stashed in the car and probably forgotten about.

If you are a healthcare worker (or know one), leatherman has 40% off coupon, one time only. You have to get registered with Sheer ID. I just got my coupon and may buy the Wave for $60.

If you fit in one of the categories, you get the coupon code from here:

Is that a program directly through Leatherman?
