I have no need for this, so I went ahead and grabbed one.
Now if only there would be a deal on electric unicycles.

I got 2 of these rebadged as Slidgo X8 from Adorama. These are good for flat rides, but as soon as you encounter any kind of slope they slow to a crawl. And that is even with my wife riding one who weighs 130, so that max weight of 265 is absolute nonsense. We don't have many hills here, but it is terribly annoying to have these slow down when you do. I ended up eating the return shipping cost and returned these and decided to pay the difference for Segway e45 that were on sale for $680 at Best Buy the other day. We'll see how those are when they get delivered next week.

Hmm.. I'm around 150 lbs and I still get around 15mph on some decent overpass slopes. Is your battery low when you're going up these slopes? Or is it really steep?

Im getting a constant 18 mph on the slidgo right up until 1 battery bar left. Getting 13 miles on sports mode, i weight 205. Steeper hills do slow it down quite a bit though. In Manhattan its great but a bit bumpy in the bime lanes. Wonder if this will be better with the pneumatic tires. How much was the return shipping for the slidgo?

Is this model better than the hover 1 Pioneer? I have 2 Pioneers that been great so far. I thinking maybe, I'll get 2 of these, not sure if it's worth it
I have the hover one pioneer from the sale 2 years ago and this is definitely a much better scooter. On the hover one I couldn't get more than 7 miles out of it this one gets 13 and I get between 18 and 19 miles an hour whereas on the hover one I got 15 I weigh 205 lb though

You can return it at their store in Manhattan and avoid return shipping cost! I bought Slidgo X8 as well. But I am super impressed with that. I did a range test and got around 16+ miles with still some juice left in the battery (180lbs rider weight, weather lower 40s). The 12.8aH battery does make a difference with regards to range, so I bought an extra battery as well. Yeah, the ride is bumpy in bike lanes in Manhattan because of solid tires but I think I got used it and doesn't bother me much anymore. It slows down during inclines and that is true for most, if not all, 350 watt single motor scooters.

To have good speeds at inclines you should be looking at a dual motor or a 800 or above watt motor scooter.

Full battery and it slogs on any slope over 5 degrees. I'd chalk it up to a defective model except we got 2 of them. I also got a Hover-1 Alpha for comparison, and it is day and night how much more power that the Alpha has as far as carrying load over hills, funny enough it has far less torque compared to the X8. In fact, the torque issue is the reason I returned the Alpha, that and the terrible battery.

Battery isn't the issue here, that seems fine, my comment is strictly on the power of the unit. Funny enough it has pretty good torque and gets going off the line, just can't handle load up hills. Cost to return 2 units from AZ was about $65.

The Segway e45 has a 700-watt motor, I hope your 800 and above isn't true or I guess it goes back too and I look for a dual motor solution which gets up over a grand and that is far more than what I wanted to pay for a mostly cruising around the community scooter. Plus, those dual motor units are quite heavy.

For those who ordered, ignore Walmart's delivery estimate. Wait for tracking to get an accurate estimate.

What would be a decent adult one just for running around a paddock, say <$200

Segway E45 is 300w motor and may be the peak power is 700w. https://www.segway.com/ninebot-ki...#specs-e45

Slidgo X8 has 350w motor and the peak power is 700w as well. But E45 definitely is a better scooter overall (build, range, style) compared to X8.

Oof, thanks for pointing that out. If it struggles, especially at that price, it goes back. They claim it handles 20-degree slopes, so we'll see.

I am not quite sure E45 would have better range than the Slidgo X8 given it only has 368 Wh battery compared to X8's 461 Wh.

https://www.adorama.com/slidgox8cb.html - this one fits similar rebranded ones like TurboAnt X7, Slidgo X8, Levy Plus etc. I read somewhere (in one of the deal post threads) the connector pin is different for Blackhawk as it uses an older model of the battery. Not sure but will confirm after my friend, who bought this scooter, receives it.
