I have no need for this, so I went ahead and grabbed one.
Now if only there would be a deal on electric unicycles.

Today, I was able to do a range test of the scooter and was able to get about 10 miles before I hit the last bar. This was going mostly full throttle on relatively flat ground, but with a bit of wind resistance half the time. I was able to hit 20 mph thru most of the time until I got down to 3 bars, then it would still get up to 18mph for the rest of the time.. although it definitely gets there a little bit slower. My guess is probably about 12 miles of range going full throttle, and maybe 15-20 miles of range if I limit the speed between 12-15 mph. For reference, I'm about 150 lbs.

A couple of notes compared to the Slidgo X8 I got earlier for $300:

1. The air filled tires are actually a lot more comfortable to ride on than the solid tires of the X8! Although having to fill the tire with air is a real pain and I haven't had to change the tire yet.. so we'll see how I feel about this after my first flat.

2. I can go faster on the Hover-1 by a small amount. It looks like I can get about 1-2 mph faster than the X8. Probably due to the air tires and also more weight on the solid tires of the X8. Not a significant difference, but I thought it was a little noticeable. (I made sure to fill the tires up to the 36 PSI as stated on the tire before riding too.)

3. Battery doesn't rattle as much on the Hover-1. Also, this is most definitely due to the air tires absorbing more of the bumps.

Other than those 3 things I noticed, all the rest seem identical. Since the Hover-1 will be for m wife and the Slidgo X8 will be for me, I figure the difference in battery life will be negligible since she's closer to 100 lbs and I'm at 150 lbs. Both are great scooters all around and I'm very happy with both.

Just cause the tire pressure is printed at 36 psi doesn't mean that's the optimum tire pressure to ride. 50 psi is the ideal pressure for maximum speed and range. The rule of thumb applies to bicycle tires as well. If you can squeeze the tire and it still feels soft, you should add more air to it. 50 psi still has a little bit of give, but not as much as 39psi as written on the tire
50 psi???? What are you smoking? Please stick with 36 psi or less. Please show proof that 50 psi is ideal LMAO

Going off Turboant's website which IMO is basically the same model as the Hover-1

31.9-34.8 psi

The tire manufacturer says 34.8 psi but if you inflate the tire to 50psi, the tire turns into more of an oval shape which means there is less tire making contact with the road generating less rolling resistance. It's the same principle as riding a road bike which typically have 80-100 psi for their tires. I'm getting 12-15 miles at 50 psi with 2 bars remaining.

I have been comparing the Slidgo X8 with my Hover 1 Blackhawk, and I am having the opposite experience. I find the Slidgo will go faster, consistently keeping me at 18 mph (I am 205 lbs) while the Hover 1 only gets me to 16 mph on the same street. I have tires pumped to 35 lbs and the temp in NY is about 32 degrees. I also have the old style battery vs the newer one on the Slidgo. Anyone having the same experience?

Has anyone received their scooter after the shipment delay? Mine still shows delivery is delayed and when I called a month ago they said it will be restocked 1/12 and shipped then.

I got one last time around. Im 200lbs it went 18mph and battery lasted a long time. Not great on hills though. I had to return it because back tire kept going flat quick and front tire would also go flat after a few days. Didnt wanna deal with it so just returned. But if you get good one they're super fun and it takes like 5 minutes to assemble if that super easy
flat tires? both? just leaking or some holes?

I popped the rear tube and ordered the tire and tube and they came next day from Amazon for only $15. The way the rear wheel is attachment is designed made it very easy to remove and the tire fit was not hard to pop on. I used two screwdrivers to remove the old tire. It only took about 40 minutes but would have been faster if not my first time.

What tire and tube did you buy, can you share the link? Thx.
