Check the River 2 Pro refurb before you decide. The Pro is 768wh, 21 lbs and like a 1'x1' cube. Very portable and runs my coffee maker in power outages. Only slightly more $ with lots of capability.

Because they were returned and broken all the time? I notice that Ecoflow has refurbished year round for sale so that means they always have lots of returns and broken/repaired units.

Bought this one refurbed over a year ago, no issues. In fact I almost exclusively buy EcoFlow's refurbed units. Been an ecoholic since 2020 only regret is the wave 2 air conditioner…

Agree with the River 2 pro, not only more wh/dollar (3.35 vs 2.57), it can be charge via USB-C and can run things with higher power requirement.

Both have their uses. Go with the lighter one if the capacity and output isn't what you need. I like this unit for charging phones and laptops

The river 2 pro can run a refrigerator. I wouldn't rely on the river 2 max to run a fridge for very long

Yes. How long depends on the fridge.

Mine uses about 1.5kwh/day, so a Pro can run it ~12 hours.

The wattage the fridge is rated at is while the compressor is running, and they cycle on and off. They run much less if the door is left shut and they are full (more thermal mass).

If you're interested in this stuff, I recommend investing in a Kill-A-Watt (~$30 on Amazon) or other meter, and monitor appliances to get real world usage.

For example a Coffee Maker can use 1500 watts (which the Inverter needs to handle, the river 2 series could not as they can output 500 and 800 watts respectively), but it only runs for a short time. So if it ran for 5 minutes, it would use 125wh (the h is for hours, so 1500/60*5 minutes).

Math and a meter can give you a much better idea of what various appliances use.
