River tend to be more portable (smaller and lighter), and while some of the Delta units can be carried around, they are heavier and take up a lot more space.
There are other differences, but those are the quick easy differences.

Also, never use them on anything with an AC inverter compressor.
Not only does it waste power, but it wastes power twice.
