Jeez, what a waste of resources. A neat gadget, but I think it's a lot easier to solve the problem of cold coffee by just pouring yourself a smaller cup. 14 ounces is small. Shouldn't require a battery, charger, and a smart phone to drink something hot.

Jeez, what a waste of resources. A neat gadget, but I think it's a lot easier to solve the problem of cold coffee by just pouring yourself a smaller cup. 14 ounces is small. Shouldn't require a battery, charger, and a smart phone to drink something hot.

Just need to remember that these are luxury items. As cool as as this would be, I think most people would be happy with a Norpro cup warmer like I am which I got from Amazon for like $20. No smart features or automatic shutoff but it's keeps my drink hot and I just turn it off when I'm done with my cup of Joe.

My wife likes this but would never want me to pay $100 for it. The Norpro that you have would make her happy since it is practical and you can use your own mugs. Thanks!

Thanks for the awesome idea. My wife has always liked the idea of this Ember mug but the price is just crazy and also it eliminates the enjoyment of using and also shopping for different mugs, which is something a lot of coffee drinkers enjoy.
