Jeez, what a waste of resources. A neat gadget, but I think it's a lot easier to solve the problem of cold coffee by just pouring yourself a smaller cup. 14 ounces is small. Shouldn't require a battery, charger, and a smart phone to drink something hot.

2 Pieces = Mug and Coaster, not 2 Mugs.
I bought this in store.

If anyone order this can you confirm that you got two mugs? Someone mentioned in the other thread for this deal they got four mugs when they ordered two.
At one point I ordered something from Costco and they sent me 2 instead of a single piece I ordered. It was not something cheap. so I looked my Costco card statement, they charged me for one. I think there is something wonky with their order management system.

People keep responding with dumb responses. Yes the cheap warmer will heat your beverage, it will also burn it. Yes your insulated cup will keep it hot but it will also get cold or with some of them that are really good keep it way to hot for a really long time.

Ember mugs keep your beverage at the temperature you want it to be. If you think that 100 bucks is to much so be it. I personally get trapped in meetings and forget about my coffee for 30 mins or so and it is nice that it is at the temperature I like to drink my coffee at when I get back to it.

This has been $99 in store for months, I give it two weeks before it's marked down to $75.

I bought this for GF last year and she absolutely adores it. She's a slow drinker and her coffee always goes cold on her, plus, I can make coffee before she's away for us and let the mug keep hers warm without burning it like a hot plate would. I know the price is ridiculous and seems outrageous but it works REALLY well and for something you use EVERY DAY - it end up earning it's keep. I wouldn't mind having one too, but it's just too much money and I drink my coffee fairly fast.

Some of us don't want to choke down scorching hot coffee in mere minutes just because it's possible to do so.

If you're more in to slowly sipping your warm/hot beverages, this thing is worth it.

And these make excellent gifts. I'm a pourover coffee snob and my dad has drank tens of thousands of cups of Maxwell House in his life.

We both agree that no one NEEDS this kind of over-engineered coffee mug. But they sure are nice to have.

My wife likes this but would never want me to pay $100 for it. The Norpro that you have would make her happy since it is practical and you can use your own mugs. Thanks!

I bought one last time this was $99 at Costco and I really enjoy it. Yes, it is absurd spending $99 on a coffee cup that has Bluetooth and firmware updates, but as a person who drinks coffee fairly slow and works in a cold office, it is nice having a consistently warm cup of coffee.

Some Costco warehouses may be starting to clear them out. I saw them for $79.99.

I'm just here to say - I get that at a glance this seems like overkill or unnecessary. But after buying one to try, I'll never go back.

Every moment of drinking coffee is now equally enjoyable, because it's the exact same temperature each sip. When I get stuck on a call or in a meeting or talking to the neighbor, I don't have to go microwave and overheat the thing then slowly enjoy it less and less as the minutes go by.

Is it necessary? Certainly not. But if you or someone you like a lot spends all day working from home, it's the perfect remote work companion.
