You can control exactly what is pinned and what you can see. I turned off all their stations since I was uninterested, it takes a minute or two and I don't see any ads of anything I don't want. Plex DVR is super stable, I havent had any bugs or issues for well over a year but I use the stable train.

I've had lifetime plex pass for several years. Pretty good (not perfect) solution for antenna/OTA TV with a tuner such as HDHomerun. I love no recurring fees (other than electricity for 24/7 old desktop as server).

Thanks, was expecting this to hit again around this time of year.

Currently testing with a free one month sub - looking pretty good so far. Biggest issue is with the older hardware in use, but that can be upgraded over time.

OTA tv is free with Plex (just DVR needs the Pass). Works pretty well

I liked Plex and bought the lifetime while it had a straight-forward easy to use interface. I stopped using it when it became more about pushing content down your throat and the user interface became beyond cluttered.
