Deal History
Deal History includes data from multiple reputable stores, such as Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. The lowest price among stores for a given day is selected as the "Sale Price".
Sale Price does not include sale prices at Amazon unless a deal was posted by a community member.
After years here I guess I must be missing all the MSRP deals posted here. What I consider a real deal is when I come here and I see a substantial price drop on something that was selling for a certain price for a long period of time.
I can hit Amazon, Newegg, Target, Walmart or any number of retailers and come up with thousands of what I consider "good deals" each day and clog up Slick Deals with nothing but "Everyday Prices" and make SD into yet another spam web page that retailers pay to advertise on.
Look I'm not saying that this does not appear to be a fair deal but SD is called Slick Deals and not "Fair Deals" - I don't have time to wade through thousands of Fair Deals each day which is why so many of us come here. We want to see REAL deals and not every day prices.
Well, I ordered one. It has been posted 3 times in the past, and each time, there have been dozens of people who appreciated finding this item with 2-3 pages of comments. Even if it is MSRP on this particular box, it is frequently out of stock, and it is a deal for those who want one.
That's why I got rid of mine, anything sensitive to moisture, your better off keeping in a your garage. Or cut some holes into it for air flow. Stored my hoses and some yard tools and it was so air tight (besides moisture) here in Chicago suburbs belive it or not it's extremely humid for half the year here. All my hoses got mold and my tools I usually don't have rust on them really rusted bad. I should have cut some holes in it but it was an eye sore so I just gave it away. Sister in law loves to it keep all her kids outdoor toys in!
Could you imagine what this forum would look like if it contained "non-deal" items that people felt were a good, but everyday, price? I think the exception (and even then many people still scoff at that) is that a "rare" item is posted here at regular price but it's an item that is hard to get IE Xbox X or PS5.
In this case, I found a similar item on Amazon for only slightly more shipped so this is not like some killer deal that Walmart only has. I agree with you that it's a fair price for what your get but it's still not what Slickdeals is about in their own words.... "Where savvy shoppers discover and share great deals"
$140 vs $180 is a big difference. Here, on SD, we appreciate good deals regardless of whether everyone agrees. As long as it's a deal in today's market - feel free to post. That's my 2C. Additionally, the one you linked won't ship to my address so I would imagine that's the case for at least some others as well.
Anyone that already has this have any thoughts on how it would hold up if I stored firewood in it? I'm thinking the side walls might need some kind of reinforcement perhaps?
The price shows $260 from other seller. However if I clicked the bread crumb for shed I was able to get it for $139. On top of that Capital One Shopping has 30% cashback for this item. So ultimately came out to around $100.

I am now happy I got mine. All the prices seem to be $240+ now.
Anyone done any reinforcements to it? I'm thinking of adding some 1x3 wood to the insides to make it more sturdy, although I might be causing more trouble than it's worth if people think it holds up fine.

Wouldn't kids toys get moldy?
