Yup, been cheaper, but considering the inflation we are experiences this is a pretty good price on a darn good knife. The Mora Garberg is almost universally loved with it's thicker, full-tang 14C28N stainless steal blade and the really nice Molle multi mount system sheath. Spine is ground flat for using with a ferro rod fire starter, where as the less expensive Moras are usually not, though that can be fixed in a few minutes with a course stone or file.
This thicker, full tang blade will hold up better to the abuse some users put their outdoor knives through better than the less expensive Moraknivs. The blade might not be a thin razor hair-popper, but you don't want such a fine, delicate edge on an outdoors knife.
Personally, I have a sub $20 Morakniv Companion in 12C27 stainless steel and use an axe to process my wood. IMHO, batoning wood with a knife is abuse and only for emergencies when you get stuck out without an axe, hatchet or tomahawk. I also don't throw knives unless they are specifically designed for it. Blades with higher hardness hold an edge longer, but are harder to sharpen and more susceptible to chipping or breaking if put to hard use. That's why so many outdoor knives are in softer, more durable carbon steel.
Too many folks take their Moras and sharpen them to a fine edge, then complain after they chip or break while using them like an axe. A decent hatchet or camp axe can be had for $25 and will keep your knife beautiful for a lifetime.
TL;DR: this is a nice, compact outdoor knife with a nice sheath for those who don't need an 8 inch axe replacement of a knife. Few will regret buying it if you are paying under $70 considering current inflation.

I'm in for one, thank you! Will dedicate this one to camping. Any of these are entirely too heavy for backpacking, unless you're talking about some short hike.
