The problem isn't the technology. It's Google's inability to stick with a project. Google has already stopped supporting the internal game developers. Stadia is likely already dead.

For those just wandering over here, this was a +600 upvote thread when it was first posted. This is a really good deal, was originally $130 when launched and the controller can be used (wired) for playing regular PC games.
Got this a couple months ago. No brainer. Impressed with latency. As long as you aren't playing a competitive shooter on this it's good for everything else. Got two for the kids and one for me for Xmas, and took advantage of the $10 off for new accounts and got Valhalla for $5, and 6 months pro free from att fiber. Great deal.
That's my concern as well but after trying it out, I'm honestly convinced. I have no lag and the convenience is great. Google just needs to get it into more hands, especially with actual consoles having monthly membership at similar price points
Damn they still have these left after last month? I got three. One 'free' for buying $29.99 game at $19.99 after $10 off coupon. The other two at $22.22 price.
Chromecast Ultra is worth more than this deal price. The controller should be fun for a 10 year old for a while
It wasn't too bad playing games on internet. I think the downside is what happens to our paid games once the platform goes. That's the scary part. Otherwise they delivered provided that one has good internet.
Considering I invested +$3000 for twenty years… a subscription model where we pay for games we play for the temporary moment isnt a bad deal. I probably would genuinely consider this if I didn't already own all the games I ever wanted. I probably barely played worth a fraction of them.

I agree. I don't think Google would leave those people hanging. I'm sure they would issue credits or some type of compensation. Just F'n assumption
