Last time I tried to extend a membership with Malwarebytes it replaced my sub rather than extending it. I had to call them and they extended it and they said that's the only way to extend it, by contacting them directly. Because it was such a hassle, I'm going to wait for my sub to run out before buying another sub. YMMV.
ASC is literally bloatware and bogs down your system for no good reason. Get that off of your system.
Because I haven't personally used the paid version of Malwarebytes, I can't speak to the version issue, but I do have a good method of dealing with remembering/retaining codes in the future. I take a picture of the card containing the code and I also add an event or reminder on my calendar containing the code itself. That way, when the subscription expires, I'll have a reminder pop up on my calendar containing the code.

Does it really offer better protection than the one built into Windows by Microsoft?

Does Malwarebytes allow you to remove/replace a device on your subscription? For example, if you have a laptop and a phone as your two devices on a two-device subscription and you get a new phone, can you remove your old phone and replace it with your new phone as your second device?

If you have it registered in My Account, this will work.

How is Malwarebytes' performance/overhead on Android (10, specifically)? I'm the type who keeps a ridiculous number of tabs open on Chrome, so that already taxes my phone's performance, sometimes.

Since these are key cards (versus buying a subscription directly from Malwarebytes), I see no reason why you couldn't extend a membership by simply waiting until your existing subscription expires before entering the license number on the key card.

I just renewed. I want until the last day to add the key code. However since I just did this not sure I won't lose it in a year from now. Probably won't but why would I want this laying around for a year. Also I'm on 4.5 this is 4.0 if I keep this laying around for a year will it be an issue and will it update to 4.5

Yup that's the main problem with buying multiple years in advance. But based on previous post, it sounds like you can call customer service to have them extend existing sub with a key code.

Been using MWB since the beginning, but have lost respect for them over the past few years. MWB and Iobit Advanced System Care don't play well together. It's because the two companies have fought legally. MWB flags and disables ASC as malware/PUP to punish them apparently, and punishing long time users like me in the process. MWB is aware and hasn't fixed the problem.

I think this software is good *if* you're going onto a system that you have no idea what's been happening on it and you don't want to reinstall, etc. run this sucker and it will root out any crap but for your own system that you know what's been going on with it I wouldn't bother anymore since windows does a pretty good job and maybe throw on Norton to be extra careful..

I'll give it a try. Even though I have 360 days left this is a great price. I usually get if for 3 devices 1 year but only have it on my laptop and desktop. So 2 devices is all I need it for and $20 for 18 months is a steal.
