I'm a doctor, and wear the head loop masks all day; they fit me way better than the N95s I've tried, which tend to make the bridge of my nose sore in an hour or two, and these fit flat against my face for a pretty good seal where the N95s are harder to get a tight fit. Headloops rather than earloops prevent my ears from getting sore. Comfort is key so you'll actually wear them.
I really think the head loop masks are better protection and more comfortable.

As example, I was at a convention in Las Vegas over the summer which turned out to be a super spreader event. Many people I know got Covid. I was fine by wearing mine the whole time.
Comfortable, breathable, no weird smells out of the box. Thumbs up as this'll give me some discounts to restock up for the months to come.

For years leading up to 2020, the USA foolishly outsourced all of its PPE production. When the pandemic hit it took everyone by surprise (remember the stories of frontline medical workers wearing garbage bags and wrapping cloth around their faces…many of them didn't make it).
It was during this time that a few US manufacturers stepped up to start producing PPE again, but it took them months to "re-learn" how. And most of these companies sold (or donated) the first of their production to hospitals and first responders.
Surprisingly, a lot of these companies produced N95s (the US standard) that were competitive price-wise to KN95s (the China standard which arguably isn't as stringently regulated).
But because these companies sucked at marketing and PR, consumers (and Amazon) ignored them when they tried to sell to the consumer market.
I'm not going to China-bash here, and I don't begrudge anyone who jumps on these deals (in fact, for those who don't want to support China, one of the best things you can do is find a deal so good you know the manufacturer is not making a profit off of you!).
All I'll say is that while I love a good deal as much as anyone, for this category I'll spend a few cents more per mask to support one of those US companies that stepped up during the worst of times. Those who are strapped for cash should still go for the best deal of course…but for anyone with a little disposal income, consider it an investment in our future.

Those of us with kids or smaller faces use the Velcro straps to hold earloop masks in place. There is some controversy over double masking if you're wearing a N95, KN95, or KN94. Some say it defeats the mask if it's compressed by another mask, but my family has been covering these with a basic surgical mask and disposing of those after each outing or errand. These masks weren't made to be worn for 40 hours, but it's not a practical expense for most to toss after each use, so we'll keep covering them. We also leave them on the car dash for a few hours of sunlight before reuse.

has anyone tried them? Harley makes n95 masks and you can read that those have a good rep, but I cant find anything on the kn95 version which is a different design.
Also, how does the redesign compare with the original kn95?
I have some Honeywell masks with the foam inside but have not tried them yet. Doesn't the foam piece rub your nose raw?? That is why I have not tried the Honeywell masks yet.
